Ghana, officially the Republic of Ghana, is a country in West Africa. It spans the Gulf of Guinea and the Atlantic Ocean to the south, sharing borders with the Ivory Coast in the west, Burkina Faso in the north, and Togo in the east. This beautiful country is also known for its gold as well as its rich culture. Additionally, Ghana also played a huge part in the history of the Transatlantic Slave trade which we will explore on this adventure.

Day 1

Akwaaba : Welcome to the Motherland

Meet and greet /Airport pick-up will be provided to your accommodations. Settle in, relax and enjoy the new environment.(if you arrive early and there is time we’ll have a night life in Accra)

Day 2

Accra: The Capital City

We will start our day with a hearty breakfast.

•Visit to the independence and the black star gate.
•Then, we visit Kwame Nkrumah Museum to learn about the emancipation of Africa by the first president of Ghana and the resting place of this pan Africanist
•After our visit, we will stop shopping at Accra's biggest art market.
•Tonight we will experience Accra's nightlife together. With a few surprises.

Day 3

Botanical Garden /Boti Waterfalls & Umbrella Rock

•Today, we journey to the Eastern to relax and check out the beautiful Aburi Botanical Garden.
•Enjoy the beautiful twin Boti waterfalls flowing from the Akuapem mountains.
•Bring your sneakers and prepare to walk and climb through the mountains and caves to see the Umbrella Rock and Wonderful Three-Headed Palm Tree.

Day 4

Cape coast Castle, Ancestral Slave Yard & Kakum National Park

•Today, we journey to the central region to visit the Cape Coast slave castle where it all began. Guides will take us through the dungeons where slaves were kept to await the ships. After, we will pass through the "door of no return" where slaves exited and left their homeland. Today, the "door of no return" has been commemorated as the "door of return" to await the descendants of those who were forcefully taken.
•We will also visit the Kakum National Park. Kakum is a preserved rain forest with a canopy walkway that is suspended 30 meters above the ground on tree tops.
•We’ll visit the the last bath where our ancestors took their last bath before auctioned for sale.
•We will have a beach side lunch.

Day 5

Shai Hills Reserve / River Boat Cruise

•We visit shai hills reserve to see some animals like bamboo ,antelope etc and the nature of the place
•Take a relaxing cruise and enjoy the beautiful scenes, fauna and flora of the Volta river. It's going to be right under the Adomi brigde and straight to the Akosombo.

Day 6

W.E.Dubois & Labadi Beach

•Afterward, we will visit the museum and the resting place of the great Pan African writer and civil rights leader Dr. W.E.B. Dubois
•Also, remember to pack your best swimwear and enjoy the afternoon at Labadi Beach.

Day 7

Departure Day

Sankofa (meaning) Go back to your roots and bring forward that which is useful.
